A few days ago we went down to St. Augustine for the afternoon.  We checked out the outlet malls and found some GREAT deals at Osh Kosh!  After that we headed over to St. Augustine beach for dinner.  We found a great place called Mango Mango’s on A1A.  It had really good food and was a great atmosphere, especially for families!  If you’re ever driving down the strip there on A1A and wondering which of the seemingly hundreds of restaurants to eat at, look for the lime green place called Mango Mango’s.  You’ll love it!

Anyway, after eating dinner we crossed back over the Bridge of Lions and headed straight for our favorite park in St. Aug., Davenport Park.  You can’t miss it.  It’s the one that shares a parking lot with the library and it has that famous carousel in it.  We always try to go there every time we take a drive to St. Augustine.  The kids love it there and I especially love the layout of the park and that it’s fully enclosed by a fence that little kids can’t easily open on their own.  Love it there!

On our drive back home along Philips, we kept seeing some crazy lightning and it just so happened that we had the camera in the front seat with us.  So, the whole way back, I kept my eye fixed on the creepy blue sky and my finger planted and ready to snap!  The sky was SUPER blue!  It almost didn’t look real.  It was crazy to see patches of dark, looming doom ahead mixed with spots of bright sky all in front of us.  It was creepy and awe-striking all at the same time.  That’s what I LOVE about Florida weather.
